Lesson #1 questions

Films seen recently

- The amazing spider-man (2012)

What made you want to see the film?

After seeing (and enjoying) the 3 previous films in the 'Spiderman' franchise, it influenced me to watch a new installment of the series when it was released, even though the film consisted of different actors and directors from the other three films. (e.g The original spiderman actor Toby Maguire being changed to new 'spiderman' actor Andrew Garfield.)

Did you like/dislike the film?

Although the thought of new actors being implemented into the spiderman films and the twist of storylines and plots gave me the original feeling that the film wasn't going to impress me as well as the three previous films had done. However, similar to reviews and reports, the film actually improved overall with the new actors and was actually (In my opinion) a better film overall than it's three previous competitors. So to put the answer bluntly, yes, I really enjoyed the film.

What factors on your enjoyment?

Setting aside aspects such as the improvement of filming equipment and CGI effects, the raw acting and storyline of the new spiderman film stood out from the others. I'm not sure whether it was the fresh actors and different storyline, including different villians etc. Or whether the film and acting was genuinely better than the rest.
